Growth

Every four weeks I have decided to take a picture of my belly. Here I am at week 25. No hiding the fact that I'm pregnant now, although from behind you really can't tell (however, one of the medical assistants at the office told me I'm developing quite the "badonkadonk" now - nice. My face/chin is also quite a bit fuller.) I've included the last 16 weeks for comparison.

25 weeks
21 weeks
17 weeks
13 weeks

Dru and I also had the fun adventure of registering for baby at Babies 'R Us...slightly overwhelming when you're staring down a gigantic wall of nothing but pacifiers and bottles (who knew there were 75 million types of pacifiers - from "ventilation" kinds to "orthodontic" kinds to "soft nipple" kinds - how about the good old "NUK" kind?!?) But we actually had a lot of fun and spent a majority of the three+ hours laughing and enjoying the planning. And, of course, Dru had a blast with the laser gun thingee - I hope our son doesn't somehow end up on the list of registered items, as Dru attempted to "scan" my belly multiple times for the fun of it. Moving and Easter...

If there's one thing I can honestly say I HATE, it has to be moving. Especially when I'm 6 months pregnant. Especially when we only have 2 weeks notice. Especially when it's MOVING. Three weeks ago, our old landlord informed us that he wanted to move back into the house we were renting from him and we needed to move out. And we had to do it relatively quickly. So, within 2 weeks time, we found an apartment, packed, and moved. Our new apartment is in a nice unit - it's very secure and quiet and most of our neighbors are sweet little old people. We don't have as much space here as we did at the house, but it looks roomy and the best part is that we have a room for baby - at the old house we only had one bedroom and here we have a good-sized room we can dedicate to a nursery. We are very excited about that...so excited that we FINALLY bought our first piece of baby gear off of Craigslist - a beautiful crib, changing table, and dresser set for a very reasonable price. This is what they look like:

So, God has been good to us. He blessed us with good friends that helped us move quickly and let us store extra things at their homes, and He blessed us with a safe, clean place to live - a lovely first home for our little man. It's a relief to this pregnant lady to finally just be moved in.

Our Easter was spent with friends of ours who have 10 kids - 4 of their own and 6 adopted. They are an incredible family and we had a nice time. Dru and I took our Easter picture in our new bedroom - we only had about 5 seconds of battery power left on the camera, so it's not our best photo but it's fun to take pictures in my maternity clothes! :)
