Look Who's Smiling!

Yep, our little sweetie has hit another milestone! She'll already be two months old in 2 days - unbelievable. This baby stage doesn't last long at all.... *sigh* We've had a very busy last month - our kids both got sick again. Fin was VERY sick - he contracted a nasty viral infection, then got strep throat on top of that. His fever spiked to 105.5 which is scary, even to this pediatric PA mom. Poor bug. He's back to his old self, though, making us laugh every day with his antics. And Clara is growing and thriving. She's beautiful and we marvel at her sweetness daily.

Smiling Princess

We went for a visit to Aunt Juju and Uncle Ben's as Ben was home for a brief visit from his new job which has him stationed in Portland, Ore. Fin was like a cocklebur attached to his Poppy all evening.

We were also blessed by a visit from my dearest friend from college days, Sara. She drove 5 hours to visit us and our newest little addition. It was SO nice to have her here - she's such a wonderful friend. Unfortunately, she was here at the height of everyone's illness, so the kids were fussy - but she was a tremendous help!

Sara and Clara - and they both have the middle name Jean!

Sara and Finny - Fin loves "big people" drinking glasses and ice; they were playing on the floor with the water and ice so it wouldn't get on the carpet

Funny Finny!

The next day we met up with our friend Anna and had a wonderful girl's day of shopping, Olive Garden, and chatting - it was so nice to not just be a mom & wife for awhile!

Fin continues to enjoy his sister immensely. Here, he insisted on wearing my headband and his shoes and nothing else. Hilarious!

And here he is playing with his sister - and she smiles at him! It's so darling...

Aunt Juju and Gretchen came over one night for dinner. Gretchen loves babies, and Clara is no exception. Look how cute the 3 of them are!

Following are many pictures of tiny Clara

Big yawn for such a tiny girl

Daddy and Clara sacked out - this happens a lot! :)

Pretty in pink

Bug-a-boo; I love this picture

Becoming more and more interactive; she really enjoys this gym.

Tummy time!

But not for long 'til she was fast asleep...stinker!

Big eyes #2 - she and Fin look very similar because they both have huge eyes.

Smilin' again

Now for pictures of Finny

He enjoys drinking from a straw - we can get him to drink anything as long as he's sucking it through a straw. Here is a fruit/veggie smoothie that he drank...with a straw.

Fin also likes to re-position our bar stools. Look at his little face here - so proud of himself!

And he knows how to make a mess in a matter of seconds, scattering toys throughout the house.

One day, he found both his pacifiers within grasping range. He proceeded to put both of them in his mouth. We were in stitches!

We also hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. We had a small group - just my parents and grandmother. Mom and Dad came over early, and Mom and I made a large feast with all of the fixings.

Here's our gorgeous table, all set up for dinner

Our first Thanksgiving with little Clara!

Fin can't keep his hands off of his sister - it's so cute!

Somebody had too much turkey! Hee hee!

Sacked out with Daddy after a tryptophan-laden dinner...ahhh....

Finny with Poppy, watching the football game.

And finally, a few videos. The first one is of Clara smiling

Also, my dad taught Fin how to do "touchdown" on Thanksgiving day...very cute.

Here is a hilarious video of Fin dancing to music and speaking his classic gibberish - he talks like this all day! Too funny!

And Finny loves it when you blow in his face - he thinks it's hilarious. He also likes to try and blow back. Enjoy the show...
