S-M-I-L-E-S

Our little man is SMILING! His first "non-gas" smile was August 23rd, but for awhile, his smiling was very sporadic and random at best. Now, he's smiling consistently in response to our smiles and giggles. There is no describing how wonderful it is when you realize your baby can communicate with you and show pleasure. This is the best picture we could get, as his smiles don't last very long and there's a delay on these digital cameras.

This seriously funny video shows how much little Fin is definately human - oscillating quickly between sad and happy, going from crying to smiling and back again in less than 15 seconds.



He's also able to communicate surprise, fear, and discomfort. This video shows how he responded to the vibrating ribbiting frog from Aunt Juju. HILARIOUS!!



He's also developing quite the "vocabulary", trying out multiple different sounds and coos. Here he is cooing at his toy keys while he lays "air-drying" on the kitchen floor - he LOVES being naked.

Reading the family book from Aunt Chelsea - he really likes to look at the faces of the pictures of our family in this book


Sleeping pictures - he was supposed to be having "awake time" but he was so tired, this is how I found him on his gym after leaving him for a quick trip to the bathroom

He now sleeps in his pack 'n play one nap a day - somehow, he managed to get one sock off AND get his legs propped up on the side - very funny!
