Father's Day

We had a nice Father's Day just relaxing at home. The day started with Fin being extra cuddly in the morning - Dru was loving it as Fin usually doesn't just hunker down and cuddle but he was snuggling big time with Daddy. We didn't know at the time that Fin had strep throat and would have a high fever for the next four days until he was diagnosed...we just loved having a snuggly baby for Father's Day!

Then we had Dru's favorite breakfast - banana pecan pancakes! Then we went to church and sat together in the "Family Room" - a fellowship hall where families can sit together during the service if they have little ones that they don't want to put in the nursery. It was nice to be together during the service (and I'm glad in hindsight that Fin did not go to the nursery that day).

Afterward, Daddy and Fin had a photo shoot together. These are the best ones.

Then we had Dru's dream lunch - BBQ cheeseburgers with the works, strawberry walnut salad, and ice cream. YUM.
Fin entertained us the rest of the day. He's still not walking but is walking along walls. Here's a video of him walking along our kitchen wall and talking to himself.

You know when everything goes quiet suddenly that someone is getting into trouble. It was quiet for about 30 seconds (seriously, a record with our little chatterbox) and when I heard a strange sound coming from the pantry, I knew Finny was up to something. He had somehow pushed the pantry door open (we keep it closed) and was playing with the distilled water bottle underneath the shelves.

  1. Oh! I am so sorry that Fin was sick! I hate when little kids get sick, but I guess it is part of life.
I see that he is going to walk pretty soon!...I can't wait to see him walking! He is discovering new things to do and I see that knows how to entertain himself...He is so cute!
    Love,
